The Canadian Government is considering banning niqaabs during the Canadian citizenship oath.
Currently 80.5% of people are voting yes to ban the niqaab.
It is a well known fact that there are multiple means to check someone's identity.
The resources we have are plenty, and certainly not difficult for a country such as this to provide.
No one should ever be stripped of their values, identity and dignity; certainly not in a free country.
The niqaab is a right supported by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,
putting forth a ban on niqaab denies individuals freedom of speech and freedom to practice religion.
Those who want to assert bans such as these should consider the judgement within which they are doing so;
they no longer have the authority to judge countries that suppress a population, since they will be joining the same pool.
We deserve the right to be who we are and believe in the truth just as other groups.
Why do others who cover their heads, hair and grow beards not face the same issues we do on a daily basis?
Help us protect our rights and vote NO.
It takes a moment and you could be the one number that helps us come out on top.
